No one deserves to be treated the way immigrants at your borders are being treated. I'm sure the Pope must also disapprove of the ethnic cleansing of Gaza, another aspiration of the MAGA crowd.
The American "conservative" Catholics and their Evangelical counterparts are "Christian" only with respect to their opposition to abortion, homosexuality, transgender treatments, and the like. I prefer to call all of them "Bible-Thumpers," because they merely use their own, myopic interpretation of the Bible to justify Right-wing, pro-Trump political views.
One such person told me that Jesus explicitly forbade abortion in "The Sermon on the Mount"! I replied that in my opinion, the Pope knew a little more about the Gospels than he did...

The Pope has certainly called for people to respect human dignity. He also wants an investigation into (possible) genocide. [This, of course, would require the International Court of Justice.] One of many sources: https://www.vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/2024-11/pope-investigate-whether-genocide-is-taking-place-in-gaza.html
Besides these inhumane immigration policies, they want to undo laws affecting women, LGBTQ+ rights, and more.
Search up the Doctrine of Discovery (Papal Bull, 1493), in US case law.
Now think about how we have only had only 15 of 115 Catholic SC justices.
Now 6 of 9 are Catholic, three who I bet know a lot about the presence of this case law ^^^
